Privacy policy

This is a personal portfolio site. It exists to show engineering work and to let people reach me. It is not a commercial service and it does not run advertising, profiling or tracking.

What the site stores on your device

Nothing. The site sets no cookies, writes nothing to local storage, and runs no analytics, heat mapping, session recording or advertising script.

What happens when you use the contact form

The form asks for your name, your email address, an optional subject and your message. It is delivered in one of two ways, depending on how the site is configured at the time you use it.

• If a form service is connected, the contents are posted to that provider, which forwards them to my email inbox and keeps a copy on its servers under its own privacy terms.
• If no form service is connected, the form opens your own email client with the message prepared. Nothing is transmitted until you press send, and it then travels through your own email provider.

Either way, what I receive is an email. I keep it for as long as the correspondence is useful, I use it only to reply to you, and I do not add it to any mailing list or pass it to anyone else.

Server logs

The site is served by a static hosting provider. Like all web hosts, it records standard request data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request and your browser's user agent string. These logs are held by the hosting provider under its own retention policy. I use them only to see that the site is working.

Fonts and other third parties

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No other third-party asset is loaded. Downloadable documents are served from this site directly.

Links to other sites

The site links to LinkedIn and may link to the organisations named in my work history. Once you follow a link you are on their site and their privacy terms apply, not mine.

Children

The site is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

If you have written to me and you want that correspondence deleted, say so in an email and I will delete it and confirm. You may also ask what I hold about you, which for almost everyone is nothing at all.

Changes

If the way this site handles data changes, for example if analytics or a form service is added, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
